A while back, I began submitting stories to journals, and though publication is not my ultimate goal or joy behind writing, it's something I've worked toward.
In September 2018, Pithead Chapel published my first creative nonfiction story, titled "If These Strategies Don't Work, We'll Try Medication." This story is important to me because it relates to mental health. In it, I tried to recreate what I call an "anxiety loop," or when an idea gets stuck in your head and asks the same question over and over. I hope that it helps readers know that they're not alone and that it's okay to not be okay.
